Murray County Libraries
There are two libraries in Murray County, both of which are part of the Plum Creek Library system, a federated regional public library system in southwestern Minnesota. The region was the setting of Laura Ingalls Wilder's book “On the Banks of Plum Creek” from which the organization take its name. The 26 member public libraries of the system share resources, programs, personnel and technical innovations. By working together as a team, libraries are able to achieve a common goals as well as meet the needs of our individual communities.
In Murray County, libraries can be found in both Slayton and Fulda.
The Slayton Public Library is located right on Broadway Avenue in downtown Slayton. You'll find a computer lab, meeting room, children's programs, and books, books, books!
Welcome to the Fulda Memorial Library. We are located across the street from Fulda City Hall and Fire Department. We're a proud member of the Plum Creek Library System that includes the nine counties in the corner of southwest Minnesota. We offer books, audio books, magazines, movies, games, and puzzles for check out as well as a variety of digital resources.
Mission Statement: The Fulda Memorial Library will serve people of all ages by providing free access to informational, educational and recreational resources.
