Murray County Parks
Murray County has nine parks, with overnight camping at four of them. The beautifully maintained parks include boat launches, restroom facilities, picnic shelters and more. Corabelle Park
Corabelle Park is located on the south side of Corabelle Lake just off gravel County Road 2 near Iona. The park, approximately 4 acres, is adjacent to Corabelle Lake. Amenities include a boat landing, dock, picnic shelter and restroom facilities.
End-O-Line Railroad Park and Museum is located on the northern edge of the Currie and borders the Des Moines River. The park holds a collection of buildings that tell the story of the early history of the railroads in Murray County and southwestern Minnesota. The center point of the park is the 1901 manually operated turn table that is on the National Register of Historic Places. The site also serves as the trailhead for the Casey Jones State Trail. With playgrounds, tours, a gift shop and more, visiting End-O-Line is a fascinating way to get to know Murray County and its history.
Forman Acres
Forman Acres is located on the southeast side of Lake Shetek and is adjacent to Lake Shetek State Park. Forman Acres can be accessed directly by hard surfaced County Road 37 and is just over an acre in total size. Due to its close proximity to both Lake Shetek and the Lake Shetek State Park, Forman Acres has the potential to be used by large numbers of people. Amenities include a boat landing and a dock.
Lake Sarah East
Lake Sarah East is located on the east side of Lake Sarah off Highway 59 near Garvin. This 1.6 acre park offers a boat landing, dock, picnic shelter, playground equipment, restrooms, grills and benches.
Sundquist Park at West Lake Sarah
Sundquist Park at West Lake Sarah is located on the west side of Lake Sarah off County Road 30 (hard surfaced). There is limited park space available for overnight camping opportunities. This park is almost 13 acres, and has a boat landing, dock, swimming area, picnic shelters, playground equipment, restrooms, 14 campsites, an accessible fishing pier, dump station and a campground host.
Lime Lake Park
Lime Lake Park is located on the south side of Lime Lake just west of the City of Avoca. The park has an ideal location being so close to the community and situated just off of hard surfaced County Road 6. The Lima Lake dam with its catwalk over Lime Creek is a beautiful fishing spot. The 4-acre park has a boat landing, dock, fishing area, picnic shelter, restroom facilities and 3 campsites.
Marsh's Landing
Marsh’s Landing is located on Valhalla Island on the west side of Lake Shetek. The park is benefited by direct hard surface access via Valhalla drive from U.S. Highway 59 and is adjacent to the Valhalla Campground. This 1-acre park includes a boat landing, docks, a fishing pier, restrooms, fish grinder cleaning station, recycling shed and an emergency dry hydrant.
Seven Mile Lake Park
Seven Mile Lake Park is located on the west side of Fulda First Lake and is adjacent to South Lafayette Avenue within the City of Fulda. Amenities to this 10acre park include a boat landing, dock, swimming beach, picnic shelters, playground equipment, a ball field, restrooms, 14 campsites, sidewalks, fishing pier, sand volleyball courts, a disc golf course, a dump station and a park host.
Swenson Park
Swenson Park is located on the east side of Current Lake off MN Highway 91 near Balaton. Almost 14 acres, this park includes a boat landing, dock, picnic shelters, playground equipment, restrooms, 18 campsites, a dump station, recycling shed, bath/shower facility, disc golf course and a campground host.
