Known as the “Gateway to Lake Shetek,” Currie has a population of 214 residents and is notable for its tourism and recreational opportunities. It is home to the End-O-Line Railroad Park & Museum in addition to being the headquarters of Schmitz Grain.

 

Currie has many outdoor activities available to the general public. These includes a six mile, paved trail loop between Lake Shetek State Park and the City of Currie. Lake Shetek is located just north of town and is a popular vacation destination for people from all over southwest Minnesota.
